A top quality listing with a number of search engines would probably be very expensive so affiliated marketing could prove more cost effective for those who require higher Traffic levels and are able to generate enough sales to cover the costs. You may also be charged for Test clicks when you may wish to test the link. Also web sites which post your link may need to Test click the link to you, you may also be charged for this.
You should allow a budget for least six months because of the time it will take to implement the system and for webmasters to find your details and include an affiliated link to you. Webmasters are busy people so they may expect a link to remain and return an income for at least this length of time.
Affiliated agents usually allow you to have a choice of who you want to link to you and should be able to advise you on the expected charges.
