Advice: Not recommended can lead to Duplicate Content and even legal action being taken for breaking Copyright.
Using Spinning, manually, automatically or semi-automatically is not likely to help that much as search engines get better and better at spotting Duplicate Content.
Having your own original Content is much better than just coping information that can be found elsewhere on the Internet.
If you are able to use data from other places, (with permission), in a unique and original way then that could be effective at bringing your site visitors. Always cite the ordinal source.
