Exit Popup Advertising Methods

This page has an example of an Exit Popup. When you try to move the mouse cursor over the top of the page to click the back button of exit the site a popup message will be displayed.

You will see this in action if you try to move your mouse curse over the top of this page to exit.  Such exit pop ups are a type of Mousetraps.

To actually Exit this page without this popup click here.

These messages are sometimes used to display a money off offer or an additional bonus. So if your sales copy has not been successful the user will be provided with a special offer that they should find difficult to resist. The special offer link may be passed on to other users so that the original offer is bypassed. This could reduce the return on investment you could obtain if they had purchased the initial offer without a further reduction.

Advice: Although these could be effective in increasing your conversion rate as with any popup these can be annoying and generally should only be used as a last resort. Popup may need to be allowed to view any popups.

To actually Exit this page without this exit popup, (if the buttons below fail to function), click here.  (The buttons below may not function because of the Mousetraps nature of this method).
