A favicon. (favorite icons), is a small, 16x16 image that is shown inside the browser's address bar location bar and bookmark menu. You need a small 16x16 image called favicon.ico which should be placed on your server.

Advice: Recommended use Favicons icon. They can help users recognize their bookmark links amongst any other favorites book marks. It is a good way to brand your site and increase it's prominence in your visitor's bookmark menu. They Favicons icon may not be displayed in all browsers. The Favicons icon may not be displayed in immediately after uploading to the server, you may need to refresh your page and re-add the link to your favorites before you can view it.
Not all browsers may be able to show the favicon.
The favicon should be named favicon.ico and be 16x16 pixels with 32 colours. It should be placed in the directory where the web pages for that favicon are. You will have edit the HTML, HTML 5 web page to tell it where to find the favicon if it is in the main directory
