Seeking Links: How Much Is Too Much?
NOTE: It is important that you try to have links that are not related to Bad Neighbourhood. All links should be nature that is added to websites manually, (or at the very least appear to be added manually).
It is better to have relevant links, that is sites that have a similar subject matter to your website.
Some search engines seem to prefer sites that contain links to other related sites.
Other search engines may now gradually be discounting the benefits of direct reciprocal links and may tend to give more preference to sites that have “one-way links. This means that any two sites directly linking to each other will no longer be improving their search engine visibility as much as sites that have “incoming-only links from other topic-related sites. Therefore exchanging links directly with a site which directly links back to your may not benefit in search engine ranking. Linking back to a different site owned by the person who links to you may be more effective.
Remember this may be more beneficial to real people finding and clicking on your link.
It is also important to
have links that are spread throughout the Internet and not just from one place,
area or DNS address map. It is more benefit in having
links from different hosting DNS addresses. C
Class Backlink Analyzer. This tool investigates the links pointing to a
website (backlinks), and groups them according to the C-Class IP addresses they
come from. For example, if one backlink comes from 53.25.14.5 and another
comes from 53.25.14.6, they would be grouped together. Backlinks coming
from the same C-Class IP are most likely hosted by the same company, which may
lower the site's search
engine ranking. Provided by We
