The Home Page, Favorites and Bookmarking Advertising Methods

The Home Page

The Home Page is the name given the first page he user views when they open their browser. The Home Page is generally set to a default page when the browser is installed. Usually the installed default browsers Home Page is to do with the products and services that browser provide wishes to promote.

This Home Page may be changed to any web site that user desirers using browser control options, toolbars. This page could be therefore classed as one of the most important pages to that user. They usually find very useful content, (to them), on their selected Home Page. This Home Page is link to a sticky website that the user wishes to access time an time again. Usually this Home Page will also have a powerful search engine option that the user can find other websites easily or similar information to their main interest.

As well as using browser control options, toolbars, it is also possible to add coding to your web page that looks like a hyperlink and make it easy for the user to make your own website their Home Page.

The Home Page is usually, (but not always, the user can set their Home Page to any page), the main first page of your website.

The Home Page is under the control of the users and this is one thing that makes that different from The Landing Page.

The Home Page coding link will usually be written in JavaScript

Favicons icon are also recommend for use with these options.  This will add a small image to your link that will help make is even easier to find among other bookmarker links and increase your brand image.

Favorites and Bookmarking

It's possible to add website titles with a link to that site, (the URL), to a browsers bookmark list of favorites sites using browser control options, toolbars. This allows users to keep a list of websites they find inserting to them an may wish to return to at a later date.

As well as using browser control options, toolbars, it is also possible to add coding to your web page that looks like a hyperlink and make it easy for the user to add your web site to their favorites list.

The Bookmarked Favorites are under the control of the users and this is one thing that makes that different from The Landing Page.

Advice: Worthwhile. This reminds the user that they may wish to set your website as their Home Page or to add your site to their bookmark list of favourite sites.  It gives the user the easy option of adding your link to their favorites and retuning to your sites later. (Some users may be unsure how to do this using the standard browser control options, toolbars). The user may with to return to your website at a later date to actually make a purchase. Allow for different browser types as some may require different coding.  (Different browsers may use different names form Home Page, Favorites and use different coding to carry out the same actions).  Favicons icon are also recommend for use with these options.  This will add a small image to your link that will help make is even easier to find among other bookmarker links and increase your brand image.
