Loss Lead is a term given to items which you are willing to make an economic loss on. That is sell fro less than the total cost price.
This may appear a bit foolish because you will lose money on the any items you sell using loss lead but the idea it to increase sales in other areas. For example while selling an item at a loss you could use this to increase your list or up-sales of other products.
This could be used on items you are hoping to clear to make way for new stock.
Advice: Use with care. Specify all terms and conditions especially times, dates and stock, first 100 customers only for example.
You could ask people to register increasing your list.
