Paid for Content. Internet Water Army. Advertising Methods

Using various methods to increase content on web sites. This could include software such as Spinning or paid staff from out-site your business, (quite often using cheap labor), to add content.

This is done because content can increase web site visits.

This method may be used to generate web site comments, (could be bad comment as a form of attacking a web site reputation or positive as a way to increase respectability of a web site products and services.

Internet Water Army. (So called because they flood the Internet with content). An undercover team of computer scientists reveals the practices of people who are paid to post on web sites. In China, paid posters are known as the Internet Water Army because they are ready and willing to 'flood' the internet for whoever is willing to pay. The flood can consist of comments, gossip and information (or disinformation) and there seems to be plenty of demand for this army's services.

Where as Content is King it is new quality unique content that is more likely to improve web site visits and rankings.

Advice: Not recommended. This could help you get you some extra visits and sales but should be used, (if used at all), with care.. You will need to manage your budget very carefully to make sure any return on investment, (ROI), It is believed to be usually better to creating your own better quality unique content web site. Google are trying to restrict such web sites because there content is usually Duplicate Content or of poor quality.

Search Engines are getting better at detecting Paid Content and may penalize web sites that are found to use it as a form of increasing visitors, Google Pager Rank or sales.

Site using paid content are likely to be seen as Content Farms and viewed negativity by search engines.

Also sites that use these methods are likely to be treated as Spamming Webs Sites with poor quality information.
