Payment may be required by some search engines just to list your web site at all in their database of searchable links. Usually requires a fixed payment per term.
May not get your link higher in the database but should allow your link to be found with that search engine. Some search engines may rotate links, so that your site may not always be listed at the Top of the search results for the Keyword, Keyword Phrases you select.
A search engine using this method may required in addition to other methods of promotion with the search engine such as Pay per Clicks, PPC and Cost Per Click, CPC to obtain a higher listing.
These types of search engine charges for a fixed time limit that you wish to people to find your web site.
Different amounts and time limits may apply for each search engine using Paid Inclusion.
Advice: Could be worthwhile and may even be required to get the search engine to list your site. You may still need to pay extra for higher levels of traffic. This method should help your site get listed quicker, and may be the only way to be listing with some search engines.
Check each search engine for their claimed advantages of Paid Inclusion as each may have different rules and prices.
There are some who state that Google do not like to list web site which have paid for links, and may even remove the Google PageRank® of those sites. This is related to the Google PageRank® system which is based on Organic Search Engine Optimization results and not paid results.
DO NOT PAY FOR PAGERANK or to try to INCREASE PAGERANK. This is AGAINST Google Rules. DO NOT PAY for links which promise high page ranking.
