Semacode. A System of using a printed image, similar to bar codes which a Mobile camera phone can scan in and link to a relevant WAP site. This saves the users having to type in WAP site addresses. It may be used for longer address which are difficult to type in correctly.

This may seem complex -- and technically, it is -- but on the surface it is a very simple system to use and learn. By connecting users from physical media to mobile content management system, the system creates new ways to interact with the objects and media that surround us (including augmented reality, remote presence, social software and location tagging). In each field, be it marketing, tourism, games, etc., there are a number of opportunities to use this technology to improve the way people interact and communicate.

In addition, this is an open system. Anyone can create as many semacode tags for as many different URLs as they wish. Millions, even. As long as you own the domain name, the tagging system is completely unrestricted. Better yet, all of the software tools are available freely for non-commercial use. Therefore it is possible to build a complete system (for non-commercial purposes) without restrictions.

With the correct type of Mobile camera phone and software you should be able to take a picture of this and it will link to our WAP site without having to type the WAP address into your browser.)
