The Portable Document Format, (PDF), is a file format that has captured all the elements of a printed document, (images text and graphics), as an electronic image that you can viewed, navigate, print, or forward to someone else. PDF's can be used and read on most Operating Systems without problems. PDF file have some security to prevent changes to the original document format file. Advice: Could be worthwhile. Remember you are trying to gain a good reputation for providing subscribers with good quality information that they are interested in. Don't just produce PDF files with adverts about your site, products or services, provide useful valuable information. Do not eMail Spam the subscribers list.

PDF files are particularly good for printing, (they keep the original formatting of the document), and read off-line.
Remember users may wish to printout your PDF file to produce a hard copy for reading off-line. You should therefore include at least one full URL, e.g. http://www.agreatportal.com so that users who read the hard copy it in the future can find your website.
When adding hyperlinks make sure you use absolute links e.g. http://www.acomputerportal.com/advertising_methods/index.html, and not just
relative hyperlinks, advertising_methods.html, as these may fail.
May or May not produce be immediate results, (a story may need to be put on hold if more important news needs to be published).
May encourage off-line sale more.
If in placed, or copied, in print or on television then customers may not wish or be able to log on to any website at that time . Therefore you may need to provide other forms of contact.
May only result in short term interest in you products but could also result in completely new customers who you may not be able to contact normally.
