Bigger search engines may receive a lager amounts of Traffic but then the may also list more web sites reducing the odds of your site being found. Being listed with smaller search engines may also improve your ranking with the larger search engines. Some smaller search engines may be more specialised and more suites the the type of traffic you wish to receive. Also larger search engines usually charge more for a good listing.

It is also possible to Spam search engines by submitting web pages too often, different search engines may have different policies. It could take some time before your site is listed, (unless you are willing to pay for a listing, over eight weeks is not unusual), be patient. Which pages should you submit? Submit all pages, but wait about five weeks between each submission, your different pages are probably about different subjects so submit to different categories.
