Testimonials, what are testimonials, can you believe testimonials?

Testimonials may have different meanings to different people.

A testimonial is a personal recommendation from someone about a product or service.

This recommendation should be unbiased opinion based on the actual used of that product or service.

The person giving the testimonial should not be in receipt of any type of reward to provided that product or service with a testimonial. For example receive an Affiliated Commission or carried out as part of Co-op Advertising.

A testimonial can be likened to receiving a Word of Mouth recommendation about that product or service.

Advice: Generally recommended a testimonial can help potential customers make a purchasing decisions to buy that product or service.

A testimonial can provide Credibility to that product or service.

If testimonial are provided there should be a way for a user to confirm that the testimonial is truthful e.g. a way for the user to contact the person providing the testimonial.

The person providing the testimonial should be known within that field and be respected for the advice that they give.

Do not provide faults testimonials or commit fraudulent acts to encourage sales as this will eventually lead to negative feedback or even legal action being taken against you.

Do not believe all testimonial because they may not always be unbiased as the person providing testimonial may be in receipt of a reward of some type.

A testimonials from a Celebrity. The Famous and Stars could have a higher impact.

Beware of Scams and hoaxes. Fraud warnings. Virus Attacks.
