I am having trouble accessing my PayPal account. What
should I do?
Some customers that are experiencing issues accessing the
PayPal site could be having a problem because of the encryption settings on
their web browser. Please check your settings by following the directions
below.
For Internet Explorer:
Open your Internet Explorer browser and select
"Help" from the toolbar
Select "About Internet Explorer"
On the About Internet Explorer window, you will be given a version number and
a cipher strength (encryption rate)
If your cipher strength is less than 128-bit, please click the "Update
Information" link (this will direct you to the Microsoft web site to
upgrade your browser)
Click "Help" and then "About Communicator or
Navigator"
In the window that opens, look for a section on RSA security
If this section reads, "This version supports U.S. security", then
your browser supports 128-bit encryption.
Otherwise, it will indicate you have an export version, which only supports
40-bit. (Further details are also available by clicking on Security in the
Navigator toolbar)

Change your Email Notification Preferences at PayPal
so that you will
help reduce unwanted emails.
Log in to your PayPal
account and go to the "Profile" subtab of the "My
Account" tab. Choose the 'Notifications' link from the 'Account
Information' section and follow the on-screen instructions to change this
Preference e.g. tell PayPal
NOT to sent you email you don't want.
It is usually recommended that you keep the option
to send you emails when Payments or other account changes are made etc...
